A bit About Me
Hello!
𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝑭𝒂 𝒆𝒛𝒆𝒉. 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒋𝒂𝒏!

Ph.D. Student, Graduate Research Assistant
Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering
The University of Alabama
She is a Ph.D. researcher specializing in coastal resilience, flood risk assessment, and hybrid modeling. Her work focuses on how coastal hydrodynamics, sea‑level rise, and nuisance and extreme weather events interact to produce compound and cascading hazards in vulnerable coastal and urban regions. She applies physics‑based, statistical, and deep learning models alongside hindcasting of historical floods, remote sensing, high‑performance computing, and data fusion to develop advanced flood mapping and risk‑based resilience assessment methods.
Her research aims to translate modeling insights into forward‑looking mitigation strategies, helping coastal communities better withstand, adapt to, and recover from extreme flood events while supporting adaptive planning and sustainable coastal development.
She is deeply committed to continuous learning, applying knowledge, and sharing research insights to contribute meaningfully to the scientific community. She strives to be a dedicated and responsible researcher, continually enhancing her organizational and time management skills. She values collaboration and actively seeks opportunities for growth through interdisciplinary teamwork and real‑world problem‑solving.
